Last night Dr. R. and I caught Jake Shimabukuro at the Palace of Fine Arts.
It was a far cry from when I saw him last at the Hotel Utah.
He is still a great ukulele player,
and just an all-round cute, sweet guy,
but he has a polish which comes from playing before huge crowds.
He played all his classics and a few more...
the sound was great...
powerful even
for just a four-stringed instrument!
He played for more than an hour and half,
the show was sold out
I loved it,
R. tolerated it...
I was glad we went!

I understand completely about R tolerating it. My husband comes to hear symphonic music with me much under the same circumstances. It is the best thing in the world to put him to sleep instantly!
I saw the announcement in the pink section of the paper and wondered if you had tickets to go. I am glad you went. : ) Pat
