This is the first year we have had a haf-seen, or a table display of seven elements that start with the sound /s/ -- including two pretty goldfish.
BTW, Rez has named our new friend Mahi and Mahi.
(mahi is the word for fish in Farsi)
After calling everyone around the world, Mom, Dad, Rez and I went to Fresh Choice for lunch:
Then we went for a walk in the Los Altos hills. The weather was stunning!
The next day, Rez's cousin, Ashkhan was invited for lunch, so I did a little cooking:
It was a good way to start the New Year!
