Watsonville Quilt Show

A couple of weeks ago, Mom, MSBK and I went to the quilt show in Watsonville.
We had a great time! There was a quilt auction, lunch, and tons of quilts to see.
Although I have declared "No quilts until the dissertation is finished", it was still fun to see what everyone else in the quilting world is doing.

Here are some photos:
The featured artist was a crazy quilt maker. We had an opportunity to talk with her. I was fascinated by this little quilt that had actual rock on it (she told me how to do that!):

The latest of her beautiful crazy quilts:

Since the latest quilt I am working on is an applique quilt, I am stunned by the beauty of this smaller quilt. Just gorgeous:

And of course, I have a soft spot in my heart for falling leaves. This one was done in all batique fabrics:

This quilt was made using strips of fabric from the salvages. This was a HUGE quilt. I 'm sure that person had been saving salvages for years!

Here's hoping that your Spring day is good and happy.
I am sending you all a hug! Love, Kellyann
