Sweet Thoughts: October 1, 2011 sketchbook

A most beautiful day today...
great to sit out on the patio and sketch:

Just a warning: I have cakes on my mind today,
not just because my birthday is sneaking up on me,
but because I volunteered to be the cake baker for our sunshine club at work
-- yes, everyone deserves a cake on their birthday!
Here's a strange fact: three people in our little school were born on the same day!
Just like me, Mary Lou Bilbao and Keith Brown!
cake obsession rears it's sweet head:

Did I mention CHOCOLATE cake?!

As a break from cake, Zaybel is performing his kitty yoga
quite spectacular the way he twists to get that last burr from between his toes!

...and I am still working on my series of petroglyphs,
these are from the wall between Moonflower Canyon and Birthing Rock:

Here's hoping that you are having a spectacular October day...

Love you, Kelly

What a fun way to not eat cake but still have it anyway! Love that chocolate cake painting, and of course, zaybel!

Have you been looking at the paintings of Wayne Thibeault? (I'm sure I spelled that wrong...)
