Post Christmas

What's in your Moleskine?

Here's a painting from a sketch that I made while waiting at Center for Spiritual Enlightenment.  The altar is off to the side of the sanctuary and there were beautiful hollyhocks in the arrangement.  I used a new paintbrush and was surprised by it's wetness capacity.

A painting of the pinecone cup on top of the brown cappucino cup on the kitchen table:

An unfinished painting of a creche porcelain box sitting on top of the cookie cooler on the kitchen table.  Everything gets jumbled up when you are busy making cookies and preparing for Christmas!

From my mixed media sketchbook:  a sanguine charcoal drawing of our Christmas tree:

A sketch of the gourds left over from Thanksgiving:

Love the "alter" still life.. Great rhythm in this painting. Its really hard to work with the Christmas complimentary colors without a lot of pigment and the precise amount of water. I enjoyed this work!

I love everything you do. And I feel so lucky to now possess a Kelly pear!
